This policy explains the cookies and similar technologies Licenceo uses, what each one is for, and how to control them. It sits alongside our Privacy Policy.
Licenceo only uses cookies that the platform needs to work. We do not use advertising cookies, analytics or cross-site tracking. If you browse without signing in, Licenceo sets no cookies at all.
When you sign in, we set three cookies:
All three are removed when you sign out.
Licenceo staff who sign in to the administration console also receive these cookies:
Every cookie listed here is strictly necessary, so none of them can be switched off. They are all set by Licenceo itself and never by an advertiser. In production they are marked Secure, so they are only sent over encrypted connections. They are also marked SameSite=Lax, so they are not sent with forms or background requests that other websites start.
Your browser's local storage also keeps a few small notes. They stay in your browser and are not used for tracking:
Trailers and tutorial videos are hosted on YouTube and play in YouTube's privacy-enhanced mode (youtube-nocookie.com). Before you press play we may show a preview image from YouTube. The video player only loads when you press play, and from then on YouTube's own privacy policy covers that video.
When you pay, or sign an agreement through our electronic signature provider, that step opens on the provider's own website (Stripe for payments). Those websites may set their own cookies, which their own policies cover.
You can block or delete cookies in your browser's settings. Because every cookie above is needed for signing in, blocking them means you will not be able to sign in to Licenceo, although you can still browse the catalogue.
If the cookies we use change, we will update this page and the date at the top. If you have a question about cookies, contact us at hello@licenceo.com.
